The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to assess non-native English speakers ability in English so that they can successfully study or migrate to a country where English is the native language.
IELTS is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English, and was established in 1989. Since then, it has become the worlds most popular high-stakes English language test for study, work and migration, with over 3 million tests taken in the past year.
